How is everyone’s week going?  Mine is busy with something going on every day: grandchildren, hair appointment (have to keep the roots at bay), book club meeting, luncheon at work for someone leaving, dog to the groomer, blogging and for this semi-retired lady, one day at work!

Welcome to Party in Your PJ’s #196!

Oh boy, it’s warm here in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia today. As I’m writing it is 79 degrees!  I have the windows all open and a wonderful breeze is passing through.

Here at Grandma and Grandpa’s house, we have sleepovers that include all 4 of our grandchildren that live close by, and we also take turns having them one at a time.  Last night my 5-year-old grandson stayed with us. When Jacob is here it means we play a lot of “pirates” together.  And last night with our popcorn we watched the old Disney movie “Blackbeard’s Ghost” with Dean Jones. It is the cutest movie and Jacob requests it every time it’s his turn to spend the night by himself. Read more….

Before we start this party, I want to share with you one of the most meaningful books that I have ever read.  It is Victor Frankl’s “Man’s Search for Meaning”.  Chances are you’ve read the book or heard of it, but I decided to share it today just in case there are some of you that haven’t read it.

I first heard of the book when listening to a motivational speaker in 2001. She used many quotes from the book which sparked my desire to hear more of what this man wrote.  I bought the book and devoured its Read more….

As we go forward into 2018, my wish for all of you is for it to be a blessed year!

I usually don’t make any New Years resolutions, except maybe to lose weight, but I’m not making that one again because it hasn’t panned out so far!  I do plan on taking time to seriously set some goals for this year.  I find it is way too easy to see the weeks pass by and then look back and wonder what you actually accomplished.  So goal #1 for me Read more….

Hello everyone and welcome back to Party in Your PJs! We’re so glad you’ve taken the time to join us!

Christmas is now officially less than one week away.  Does that thought create a little panic or can you just smile and relax because you’re ready. I have a couple small things to do, but not too much. I’m not hosting Christmas dinner this year, which is great because I’m ready to take a break from that role!

The weeks just seem to fly by, don’t they?  It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time for another Party in Your PJs; a great opportunity to show off your newest thoughts, projects, recipes, ideas, creations, etc!

Before we start I want to quickly share these super easy and cute little spiders the grandkids and I made yesterday.  I had everything on hand already which was great.  I used a pack of 6 styrofoam balls left over from Christmas last year, pipe cleaners, googly eyes and of course craft glue.
