How the Crayons Saved the Rainbow childrens book giveaway

  • Author:              Monica Sweeney

This is a wonderful little book about friendship.  The Sun and the Clouds are best friends and working together they keep the earth warm, gardens growing and rainbows in the sky.  But one day they get into a fight and refuse to ever be in the sky together again!  Slowly the earth loses it’s color because there are no more rainbows and everything becomes black and white.  That is until one little forgotten box of crayons fall out of a small school desk.  The crayons decide to work together to bring color back to the world.  They begin to draw rainbows large and small, all over town.  The sun and clouds are so curious they have to come together for a closer look and they love the beautiful rainbows.  Fights are forgotten and friendship is renewed!  This is a delightful little story about friendship and teamwork.

This is a sweet little book about a special daddy who is a bit unconventional, but the best daddy in the world for his children.  He can’t do many of the things other daddy’s can do like fixing a leaky faucet or mowing the lawn, but he is the very best at loving his children.  Throughout the story the daddy is able to turn his mistakes into something fun for his kids.  A fun storybook to let children know that not all daddy’s are the same and it’s okay to be different.
